Ironically, Barack Obama would have had the red carpet rolled out to greet him, while Benjamin Netanyahu's presence in Paris wasn't wanted by liberal elites and was met by them with flagrant disrespect at every turn. In some instances the Palestinian Authority-coddling French showed downright hostility toward the leader of the Jewish State while it officially mourned the loss of Jewish lives at the hands of terrorists. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is calling for renewed commitment to resolution 16/18 – an "anti-religious intolerance" measure endeavoring to halt "derogatory stereotyping, negative profiling and stigmatization of persons based on their religion or belief," and criminalizing the creation of "negative stereotypes about religious groups." It calls on governments to adopt "measures to criminalize incitement to imminent violence based on religion or belief" without defining what exactly constitutes "incitement." This totalitarian measure has the backing of the Obama administration. If the American people don't stand with Netanyahu and the Israeli Right, the international Left WILL bring Israel to ruin while allowing Islam to encroach on OUR FREEDOMS and allow terrorists to run wild. If S. 34 is passed, approximately $400 MILLION in U.S. aid to the terrorist Palestinian Authority will be abruptly cut off unless and until the PA decides to withdraw its request to join the International Criminal Court (ICC). The Palestinian "unity" government is seeking ICC member status for the sole purpose of launching a legislative attack on Israel for "war crimes" allegedly committed this past summer – actions where were in fact the mere 'crime' of national SELF DEFENSE. At present, Palestine will otherwise join the International Criminal Court on April 1. The Palestinians will be able to sue Israel for war crimes, a move long sought by the PA and one the Israelis have consistently opposed for decades – with American support. "We are currently sending roughly $400 million of U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Palestinian Authority," Sen. Paul said announcing his bill. "Certainly, groups that threaten Israel cannot be allies of the U.S. I will continue to do everything in my power to make sure this president and this Congress stop treating Israel's enemies as American allies." Current U.S. law would only cut off aid to the Palestinian Authority if it files WITHIN the ICC against Israel… How much more powerful is our leverage in defense of our ally if we cut funding NOW – BEFORE the illegitimate Palestinian terrorist pseudo-state enjoys an implemented ICC membership by the U.N. and is initiating aggression there against Israel? Surprising no one, the Obama administration has yet to commit to taking ANY ACTION, much less cutting funds in accord with current law. Obama is letting the terrorist-tied Palestinian Authority run roughshod over our ally, just as he is letting other Islamic terrorists run all over us across the globe. "Any entity or nation that continues to back this U.S. designated Foreign Terrorist Organization and provide it material and financial support should be sanctioned," the 24 of 29 members of the House Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa and its Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade wrote. "We are requesting that Treasury use every tool available to designate all individuals, institutions, entities, charities, front companies, banks, and government officials who clearly violate U.S. laws by assisting Hamas and its proxies," according to the letter. "If the Hamas movement has retracted the reconciliation agreement and the termination of rivalry, that is a different case," Fatah official Faisal Abu Shahla said according to the report. He went on to say "reconciliation discussions were pending a response from Hamas regarding the attacks with explosives against Fatah leaders' property in Gaza and the cancellation of a ceremony commemorating the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in Gaza City in early November." URGENT ACTION ALERT: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stood in solidarity with the latest innocent victims of global jihad while Obama didn't bother to show up…
Among his first batch of legislation in the New Year, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced S. 34, the Defend Israel by Defunding Palestinian Foreign Aid Act of 2015.
Fatah's military wing, called the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, demanded retribution for their recent defeats by expanding the Intifada against Israel and suggesting the open retaliatory "assassination" of an Israeli official! This was following the death of Palestinian Authority minister Ziad Abu Ein of a heart attack during an anti-Israel protest – after rejecting medical help – in the West Bank. Abu Ein is better known for his conviction in a 1979 terrorist bombing that killed two Israeli teenagers but who was released in a prisoner swap.
The Obama administration's dishonesty – or incompetence – is on international display again.
It is all the more important for the United States CONGRESS to act decisively NOW, because the craven European Union is preparing fiscal punishment for Israel as part of what it calls a "carrot and stick" approach to pushing the Jewish State into a two state solution with Palestinian Authority terrorists – regardless of Israel's self-interest or the safety of her people. And Obama wants the U.S. "all aboard"!
In the run-up to the PA's failed "statehood" gambit at the U.N. and now its ICC ploy, the Obama administration's pro-Islamist pandering is getting us NOWHERE but steamrolled by those who would merrily stab us in the back.
